My Final Card for Card Camp

Well, this is the last card I'll be submitting for the online card camp.  We are in the final week.  I have had fun with this class and learned a few new tricks along the way.  I also found several new blogs to follow.  So many uber-talented ladies taking this class.  What an inspiration.  Here is my 2nd card:

Week 4 Card Camp

Can this week really be the final week of the online Card Camp?  Where has the time gone?  I must say, I'm proud of myself for actually submitting at least one card each week.  I've taken a few online classes in the past and never submitted anything, just worked on my lessons on my own.  I created 2 cards this week.  I had to dust off some of my stamps.  When I saw the colors, I new immediately one card I wanted to make and the stamp is one of the very first stamps I ever bought.  Here are this week's colors:

These are some of my all time favorite colors.  Having just returned from Hawaii, I thought of the ocean and array of these colors in the water and sky. 

I really dug into my stash and used SU cardstock as well as the stamps.  I had issues stamping the large background stamp.  My hands just weren't working too well this week, but I'm still happy with the result.  Thanks for looking.



Week 3: Online Card Camp - 2nd Card Entry

Cardstock: SU Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa, Crumb Cake, Creamy Vanilla

Ink: SU Chocolate Chip

Embellishments: SU eyelets in burgandy, water  color pencils, then blended with a blender pen

Week 3: Online Card Camp - 1st Card Entry

I am half way through the online card camp.  This camp has been a lot of fun for me.  I was able to complete 2 cards this week.  I actually sketched out 5 ideas from existing cards I have made, but decided to save the others to see if they would work for next week.  Here are this week's colors:

Taupe, Brown, Chocolate, Red and a neutral like White or Cream.  Here is my first card.

Summer Card Camp - Week 2

I guess there is something to be said for having insomnia... I was on my laptop when the new colors came in for the Card Camp I am taking.

I love this color combo, too.  Even more so because I had made a card yesterday using these colors.  I was missing the dark green, so I added another strip of ribbon to finish it off.  Its a very simple card, but these days with everything that I have going on, simple gets the job done.  Here is my card:

All of the paper and stamps are Stampin' Up (as well as the light green ribbon).  The dark green ribbon is from DCWV that I have had in my stash for years and years.

Amazing Talent

WOWZERS!!! I have been looking at a lot of the entries in the Week 1 Student Gallery for the online card class I'm taking.  There are some extremely talented crafters.  I can only hope to be as creative as these ladies (not sure if there are any gentlemen students).  Seeing all these awesome entries makes me long to be in my craftroom playing, but such is life, I have to be at my J-O-B.  One good thing about this class... I'm hoping to make a small dent in all the "stuff" I have accumulated.

I'm Back from Hawaii and Off To Camp...

...Card Camp that is.  I'm doing another first, I am taking the Online Summer Card Camp 2011 taught by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner.  These ladies as well as all of the students are extremely talented.  I can't wait to spend some time and peruse all of the entries in the Student Gallery.  Here are this week's colors:

We had to use purple, pink, orange, sky blue and white.  Don't these colors just remind you of summer?  My two favorite colors are in this color pallette (purple and pink).

Here is my entry.  It always takes me a while to figure out what I want to do, so it is fairly simple.  The image is a little grainy and I can't figure out why (I think it is the person behind the camera <grin>!).  Thanks for looking.

Ink: StampinUp - same colors as cardstock and added Lovely Lilac
